happy holidays!

happy new year everyone! it's been a whole week or so of festivities as well as lots of eating and drinking! but my personal opinion is.. it's the holidays so it's time to indulge alittle! haha. due to the lack of gym equipment and facilities, exercise has somewhat come to a standstill at this point. well.. at least back in melbourne i still have my garage and my little set up of a gym. back home in singapore, i am only capable of doing bodyweight exercises. I believe that this is actually a reality in alot of people's lives. There seems to be a need to educate people regarding using their surroundings in facilitating their need for exercise.

for example, a simple workout could involve doing push-ups, sit-ups, and bodyweight squats. To factor in an anaerobic theme into such a workout, you could split doing 100 reps of each exercise to doing 10 sets of 10 reps. If u are more into the aerobic thing, you could try completing more reps in a row.

so such a workout would look like:

100 reps of push-ups, 100 reps of sit-ups, 100 reps of bodyweight squats.

then you could split it into doing them in sets. or if u are capable enough, you could complete them all in a row. or if u think that is too daunting a number, start with 30,40,50 or even 20? scale it to meet ur requirements. important thing is to start doing something!

so now that the partying is slowly coming to a halt, it's time to get back into the groove. for me at least. haha.
